An Evening With IL Divo 2009 Concert Tour

The world famous quartet IL Divo (Carlos, David, Sebastien and Urs), has announced their 2009 concert tour. "An Evening With  IL Divo" concert tour promotes their newest release "Promise".

The IL Divo world tour begins the North America performances in Halifax, Novia Scotia on April 29th. The group will continue to perform in Canada through May 6th, with performances scheduled for Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and London, Ontario.

On May 8th, IL Divo moves their tour to the United States with a performance at Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA. Cities they will visit include Camden, Boston, Detroit and two performances at the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL. After Rosmont, IL Divo will travel north into Canada with additional performances in Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and to the west coast coast for Vancouver and Victoria.

During the months of June and July, IL Divo will continue to tour the United States visiting another 20 cities. The schedule includes Portland, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, St. Louis, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and many more. The final performance is scheduled for Events Center in Reno, NV on July 24, 2009.

Il Divo were initially brought together by pop impresario Simon Cowell in 2004, following an extensive worldwide audition process. The virtuoso blending of operatic technique with romantic and popular song took the world by storm, with sales of over 22 million. Their first three albums, 'Il Divo', 'Ancora' and 'Siempre' scored 36 number 1 chart positions across 26 countries.

The Promise is their latest release and is one of their most diverse and dynamic albums. According to tenor David Miller, "Our goal was to approach it with fresh ears and fresh spirits, and try some different things. We've still got all the cannons and fireworks, but there is more range, different dynamics, more light and shade, more colour. It's a more complete album."
