Britney Spears 2009 Circus Tour

Britney Spears is going on tour during 2009 and she has invited The Pussycat Dolls as her opening act! The Circus Starring Britney Spears, choreographed by Wade Robson, will be Britney’s first arena tour in five years.

The Circus Tour opens in New Orleans March 3rd and visits more than 30 cities in the United States and Canada. The performances will be at the big U.S. arenas in Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Two night performances are planned for Newark, Los Angeles, Anaheim and Rosemont. The tour will visit Canadian venues in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver. The North American portion of the tour will end May 2nd at Mohegan Sun Arena.

"Circus" was released in December 2008 and sold more than 500,000 copies during the first week. That gave Britney her fifth Number 1 album. Britneys' hit single "Womanizer" has gone from Number 96 to the Billboard Number 1. "Circus" cuts, including "Kill the Lights" and the title track, are also popular songs making the charts. Britney Spears comeback started last year with "Blackout" which rose to Number 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured the single "Piece of Me".
