Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) was formed in 1996 by Paul O'Neill who immediately approached long time friends and collaborators Robert Kinkel and Jon Oliva to form the core of the writing team.
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra tour begins November 1st in Council Bluffs, Iowa and visits more than 90 cities before the scheduled final appearance in Dayton, Ohio on January 4th. This year, the TSO group will break into two touring groups. In almost 50 cities, there will be both afternoon and evening performances.

In the decade since Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) debuted, the group has sold more than five million albums and performed before more than two million fans in sold-out venues across the country.
The passionate fan base that has made TSO both the most successful annual tour in North America and the hottest ticket of the winter, already knows to expect the unexpected from the group's concert performances. The symphonic rock band combines the arena-rock spectacles of Pink Floyd and the musicality of Queen. Last year, the group added even more elements to its live sensory extravaganza, which already includes an orchestral string section, a full rock band, multiple vocalists, a narrator, extensive pyrotechnics, a stunning laser and light show and even snowfall.
Coming off its most successful string of tours - the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is enjoying more notoriety than ever before. In recent years, a fan in Ohio -- an electrical engineer by day -- spent two months and $10,000 of his own money to develop a jaw-dropping display on his front lawn, in which some 25,000 Christmas lights fired in perfect sync to TSO's "Wizards In Winter." A video of the dazzling light show quickly became the talk of the internet, and the Miller Lite beer company soon requisitioned the footage for use in a national television commercial campaign ("Enjoy the Lites").
"Night Castle," the outfit's fifth studio set, will hit shelves Oct. 27. The forthcoming album marks the group's first new material since 2004's "The Lost Christmas Eve" and first non-holiday release since 2000's "Beethoven's Last Night."
